August ‘10: Goalgetter Team is Growing..
Dear Goalgetters,
just a brief update on our project: Marcelo and me are happy to announce that Dennis and Roman joined our team! So we are working to actually present a first prototype soon! Here a draft of our application in one of our meetings:
We ll keep you posted and hope that you are as excited as we are about finally seeing a prototype!
In the meantime you can still use the facebook groupe to achieve one of your goals or tasks together with your friends! We are still using it…just check it out and take a look!

Fellow Goalgetters!
First, 3 goals expired on June 30
- Fabian Theaterprojekt: First Meeting is organized, Congratulations!! I am looking forward to see you again on stage. The last time was like 10 years ago :-o
- Lorenz “the Body” Kirscher: No final reply. Lorenz? yes or no?
- Christian Grades: Did you already receive your results?
and Chrissi already finished her goal one month in advance! Chrissi you owe us a Belly Dance Video :-)
Besides, Marcelo and me continue to work on this idea to make a startup out of it. We even found a company with exact the same idea in the US: www.stickk.com Crazay. Check it out..They got USD 2mio Venture Capital financing..
Still. It is very hard to build a business model around that idea, since for the users everthing will be free..and advertising the site…yeah..not that of a innovative idea. Investors won’t get attracted by that..anyway we ll keep you posted maybe there will be a real prototyp in couple of weeks.

Goal update - 4 goals expiring on 31.May
Hi Goalgetters,
three goalgetters already successfully reached their goals: Patrick (yep successful! that’s what he reported) who will next week start his internship. Congrats Paddy! Verena reached her goal five weeks in advance. Wow. And Martin’s picture says it all..Bike on!
In two days on 31.May the goals from swenja, dorian, jean-marie and patrick expire. Let’s see if they get their goals or if the first goalgetters have to donate and help others! :-)
Meanwhile we work hard on the new goalgetterproject platform which we want to launch in the next couple of weeks. You guys will be the first to try it out.

first positive results - the goalgetter effect!
This week we´ve had the first positive goal results on our facebook BETA testgroup. 2 people already reached their set goals and one guy especially came up with a nice piece of goalgetter motivation: he admitted that without the goalgetter peer pressure he would not have gone up at 8am in the morning on a saturday in order to go swimming - because as unfortunate as it was: this was the only spare time for him to do so and not miss his set goal.
so..we´re very thankful for this valuable input and hope to continue having a positive impact on people´s motivation.

Back from Zurich Startupweekend!
99 participants, 32 ideas and 60h later Marcelo und I are back from the startupweekend in Zurich. First: No we didn’t win the competition with our goalgetter idea! ;-) Nevertheless we had an inspiring weekend working hard on the goalgetter-platform business model.
After the 2min “elevator” pitches on Friday (yes, we presented our idea in Lederhosen!), Johanna from Google Zurich (Photo) joined our team to work on goalgetter for the next 48h. With the aid of coaches we answered questions like “What problems does goalgetter solve? How are we making money? Who are our users?”. Sunday evening we’ve been one of 14 ideas which were actually presented in front of a venture capital/business angels jury. 5min presentation, 5min Q&A. The feedback was mostly positive and some investors approached us directly…
So we Marcelo and I are really considering putting further effort in this idea and work more on the implementation of a goalgetter-platform model. Next steps are clearly developing a more sophisticated community platform and a Facebook app. Hope you guys stay with us.
Besides….thank you guys for all your feedback concerning our question from the week-end!! We asked “what percentage of your donations would you be willing to pay to the goalgetter plattform for their service?” We received answers ranging from 0% to 10%. After discussions with coaches and other people we decided NOT to take anything from your donations! We want this service to be free for you…
One month, 50 members and 18 goals later, we hope Darius is correct..goalgetter is gonna be a thing! :-)

Frage:
“Wir sind eine Plattform die Ziele zusammenbringt und dir hilft persönliche Ziele zu erreichen. Solltest du dein Ziel trotzdem nicht erreichen, musst du einen Betrag X Deiner Wahl spenden. Wievel % (von 0% bis 100%) der Spende darf die Plattform maximal für den Service verlagen?
(Bsp.: Wieviel Geld von z.B. €100 Spende dürften maximal an die Plattform Goalgetter gehen?)
